POKÉMON Go is starting a new season called the Season of Light, and some major changes are being added to the game.

Players of Pokémon Go can get a run down of the five biggest changes here.

These eeveelutions are coming to the wild.

Cosmog enters the battle

Niantic has announced that the legendary Pokémon Cosmog will join Pokémon Go, starting from September 1.

While not officially announced, the box legendaries for Pokémon Sun and Moon – Solgaleo and Lunala – are also expected to drop some time this Autumn.

Cosmog will be the focus of this season’s research tasks, so keep an eye on these to catch the legend for yourself.

All Deoxys formes will be available via raids

From September 1 to September 13, each of the four Deoxys formes will be available via raids.

Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed formes can be caught during their separate raids so it’s a good chance to catch ‘em all.

Once caught in that forme, Deoxys will stay that way, so you need to win four raids if you want to collect the set.

Espeon and Umbreon can be found in the wild

Starting from September 1, it will be possible to find both of these eeveelutions in the wild.

Umbreon can be caught in cities, while Espeon can be caught in forests. Unfortunately neither have the chance to be shiny.

The Northern hemisphere will also receive the Gen 2 starters, and the Southern hemisphere has the chance to catch the Gen 5 set.

New Mega evolutions are available

Three new Mega evolutions have been added into the mix for Aggron, Alakazam and Banette.

This has not been officially announced but if you look at these Pokémon in your storage you will see a new choice to Mega evolve them with Mega candy.

Despite this, we are not sure when the Mega candy itself will become available

Fossil Pokémon more common in eggs

While previously available, Tirtouga and Archen will hatch more often from 10km eggs.

These have the chance to be shiny, and accompany the Gen 4 fossils Cranidos and Shieldon available via 5km adventure sync eggs.
