THERE’S been no shortage of sizzling shower scenes on I’m A Celebrity over the years, but it’s not all down to the bikini babes.
In recent times, their hunky male counterparts have given them a run for their money.
On last night’s episode of the new series, Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, 23, gave fans an eyeful when he hit the showers.
His remarkable physique even impressed his fellow camp mates with Babatunde Aléshé telling him: “Look at this guy, I’m coming gym with you when I come out.”
The Gogglebox star, 34, stood proud though, saying: “You know me, I’ve got a dad bod. You know what I’m saying? Come on, one pack nation, come on – representing for all the dad bods out there.”
Here, we take a look at the ripped hunks who have set hearts racing over the years… and also salute the relatable blokes who have shown what normal bodies look like.
The hunks… David Haye
In 2012, former boxer David Haye made headlines after baring his bum when he stripped to take a shower.
The 42-year-old often wandered around the camp topless, showing off his washboard abs and had legions of fans swooning.
After his jungle exit, he caught wind of the excitement his antics caused and said: “Sorry if I offended anyone at home with my buttocks.”
For some reason, we doubt many people were actually offended, David.
Mark Wright
There is no denying that Mark Wright had practised his now iconic shower scenes before entering the jungle in series 11.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star became known for his ability to strike near-perfect model poses whenever he hit the showers.
Shortly before going on the show, Mark was asked whether he’d be stripping off and replied: “You can’t really shower in your clothes, so I guess I’ll have to!”
Simon Webbe
Singer Simon Webbe has always been a heartthrob thanks to his days as a member of Blue.
But the pop star, 43, took this to a whole different level when he showed off his sculptured frame on the show in 2008.
Viewers were hooked while watching him strip off to his boxers for a shower.
Spencer Matthews
Former Made In Chelsea star Spencer may only have lasted five days in the jungle – but he still left a huge impression on viewers.
During his short stay, the reality show bad boy, 34, was seen with his top off on several occasions.
Later, he admitted to Radio 1’s Newsbeat that he started taking steroids “completely out of vanity” because he wanted to “look good in the shower.”
Jake Quickenden
Former X Factor star Jake may have been a late addition in series 14 but he sure wasted no time in making an impression.
The 34-year-old hunk proved he had no problems with baring the skin by showing off his tattooed body every chance he got.
To date, the singer still gives adoring fans a glimpse at his body by frequently posting thirst trap snaps.
The proud dad bods… Harry Redknapp
In 2018, fans were thrilled to learn that Harry Redknapp, 75, had decided to appear on I’m A Celeb.
The legendary football manager earned high praise when he stripped off to reveal his dad bod and even went on to win the series.
Many were surprised he still had such an impressive figure at the age of 71.
While on the show, his son Jamie, revealed that his biggest worry was seeing his father naked, joking: “I’m worried about him with the shower scene in his pants!”
Nick Knowles
Fans of TV presenter Nick Knowles, 60, couldn’t keep their eyes off him when he stripped down to tiny red budgie smugglers to shower.
The DIY SOS presenter set tongues wagging when he showed off his “package” despite the cold weather.
After his exit, he issued an apology for the scene saying: “Can I just apologise for the red budge smugglers? They were all I had left to wear.”
Shane Richie and Jordan North
In 2020, Eastenders actor Shane Richie, 58, and Jordan North, 32, stripped off to enjoy a steamy shower together after a challenge.
The pair saw the funny side as they were in hysterics while helping each other wash off with Vernon Kay watching on.
Later, Jordan said: “Not many people can say they’ve had a shower with Alfie Moon”, in reference to Shane’s EastEnders character.
Viewers were quick to praise their bromance with one tweeting: “Ooooo Shane and Jordan in the shower together pinching each other.”
Andrew Maxwell
In 2019, Andrew Maxwell melted hearts when he took a shower in a tiny stripped trunk.
The Irish comedian, 47, slipped into the Y-fronts after a long day of challenges.
O twitter one viewer tweeted a pic of Andrew with the caption: “And the sexy shower pic this year goes to…”
Colin Baker
During his stay in the jungle, Colin Baker said he lost two stones and felt “pleased” about it.
The actor, who played the sixth incarnation of Doctor Who, proudly showed off his body on the show but said he almost quit when he first joined.
He said: “I lost just over 12 kilos on the jungle diet. I’m extremely pleased. I can move better.”
