MATT Hancock is set to make his I’m A Celeb debut ahead of schedule.
The former Health Secretary was set to join the fellow stars later on in the series, but his arrival is understood to now have been pushed forward.
When will Matt Hancock arrive in I’m A Celebrity?
Matt Hancock is set to enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle today (November 8, 2022).
The former Health Secretary will be heading into the Snake Rock camp.
The 44-year-old will be entering at 8.30pm UK time tonight (Tuesday) which is 6.30am tomorrow AU time.
Viewers will see a short VT tease on tonight’s ep, then see his arrival on the Wednesday, November 9, show.
The MP’s addition to the line-up was revealed on Tuesday, November 1.
He had been suspended by the Tory party in the wake of his controversial signing being revealed, and said he was taking part so he can “go to where the people are — not to sit in ivory towers in Westminster.”
Who else is joining the I’m A Celebrity cast?
Ant and Dec confirmed there will be two extra arrivals to the camp.
As well as Matt, the other late arrival is Seann Walsh, the comedian and former Strictly star.
Seann made headlines in 2018 for sharing a kiss with his Strictly pro partner Katya Jones on a night out behind his girlfriend’s back.
ITV bosses hope jungle life will give the 36-year-old the perfect opportunity to finally tell all on the situation.
A source said: “Seann is an incredible signing for I’m A Celebrity and it’s a real coup for ITV.
“His snog with Katya is the biggest scandal to have ever hit Strictly. People still talk about it.
“Seann has joked about his snog with Katya in his comedy sketches but he’s never spoken in detail about their relationship.
“Life in the jungle is boring and those long hours around the campfire would be the perfect time for Seann to get talking.
“He can’t shy away from it either as he’s best known for that snog.
“It’s unlikely his campmates won’t bring it up. It won’t be an easy watch for Katya or the people burnt by their romance.”
Matt and Seann are set to enter the jungle at the same time but will be placed in different camps.
Who has left I’m A Celebrity so far?
On Monday, November 7, 2022, it was revealed that former Love Island star Olivia Attwood was forced to quit I’m a Celebrity after just 24 hours in the jungle.
A spokesperson said: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks.
“Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.
“She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.”
It is unclear the exact reason for her exit, but a statement posted on her Instagram account said: ‘You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course.’
Despite her early departure, Olivia is still set to pocket her full £125,000 fee, it was reported.
