MATT Hancock’s annoying food habits are set to spark a huge jungle row on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

TV insiders have suggested that the MP’s ‘greedy reputation’ could cause chaos, after angering his co-stars on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins when it came to dishing out food at meal times.

The former Health Secretary was paid close to half a million pounds to star on the ITV show after his recent stint filming Celeb SAS.
The cast of the 2022 series – Matt will be a late arrival

Suspended Tory MP Matt, 44 – who was revealed as an I’m A Celeb camp mate this week – could soon be making enemies in the camp.

Sources are suggesting the member of parliament is likely to cause huge tension in camp over his “selfish” food habits, discovered during his recent filming stint for Channel 4 show Celebrity SAS.

The former Health Secretary is said to have irked his castmates on the Channel 4 programme – where celebs are whisked away to compete in a special forces training camp – during meal times.

Speaking exclusively to HOAR, a TV source said: “Matt got a reputation during filming for Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins for being greedy and selfish when it came to the food.

“They all had to share military style rations, but Matt always got up first and helped himself to big portions, leaving less for the others – understandably this seriously annoyed his cast mates.

“A few of them spoke up about it and pulled him up for his greedy behaviour – they felt it was inconsiderate and thoughtless, especially as they were all hungry and had limited food.

“It was clear he wasn’t a team player,” they continued, “Matt clearly looks after number one first, and he’s bound to annoy his I’m A Celebrity cast mates when he does the same thing in the jungle.

“Food is always a contentious issue in camp, so tempers will really fly if he hogs the grub and doesn’t think about other people.

“It will be tense for those in camp, but it will make great TV and producers are hoping it all kicks off.”

HOAR have approached a representative for Matt, who landed in Brisbane, Australia, late on Tuesday night, for comment.

The former Health Secretary – who was paid close to half a million pounds to sign up to the ITV show – previously filmed for Celeb SAS.

Hancock hasn’t just angered his constituents and other members of the Tory party by his TV signing.

Channel 4 were also left furious at his decision, as I’m A Celebrity airs months before his episode of SAS Who Dares Wins.

A source said: “Matt joining I’m A Celebrity is a massive two fingers up to SAS Who Dares Wins.

“And not only has Matt joined I’m A Celeb just weeks after filming SAS, but that show will air months before SAS.”

The source went on to say that some believe Matt’s fee for the show, believed to be around £25,000, should be docked.”

Hancock is currently in quarantine on the Gold Coast ahead of the first episode on Sunday evening.

He will join 10 other stars including pop star Boy George, former rugby player Mike Tindall and Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver in the Australian jungle.

Matt will need to be a team player to avoid jungle tension
