Nicola McLean, a former contestant on I’m A Celebrity, has opened up about the horrifying conditions in the show’s camp that forced the cast to go days without washing. According to McLean, many of the campmates resisted using the jungle shower due to the terrible conditions.
Stripping off for Air Time
While the other celebrities avoided the shower, McLean was happy to strip off because it meant more air time for her. “I was in there for a reason and I wanted to get the air time so I sucked it up and got right in there,” she explained.
Behind-the-Scenes Secrets
McLean also revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets from the camp. Contestants are allowed to bring one luxury item, and McLean chose to smuggle in waterproof mascara, concealer, and an eyebrow pencil in her bra. She cheekily added, “Because let’s be honest, they weren’t gonna be able to find anything in there – I could probably take my whole makeup bag.”
Battling for Popular Items
On the show, contestants are not allowed to ask for the same luxury item. This means they will have to battle it out to claim the most popular items. They are, however, allowed to win one item of their choosing during tasks.
Sneaky Smuggling Technique
McLean also revealed a racy trick she used to smuggle contraband into the jungle. Despite the show’s rule of one luxury item per person, she found a sneaky way to bring in additional items by hiding them in her bra.
