Former UKIP Leader and First Dates Maitre d’ Exchange Heated Words Over Brexit

The bitter feud between Nigel Farage and Fred Sirieix was reignited in the I’m A Celebrity camp tonight. The two have clashed in the past, with Fred branding Farage a “coward” and a “liar” on social media after the Brexit vote.

Views on Brexit

Inevitably, the subject of Brexit was raised in camp, with Fred questioning Farage on the benefits of leaving the EU. Nigel responded by saying that the benefit is knowing that Britain is independent and can stand on its own. Fred, a staunch remainer, accused Farage of demonizing migrants with his campaign poster, to which Farage defended his stance.

Politics Rears its Head

In the Bush Telegraph, Nigel expressed his expectation that politics would come up in conversation, given Fred’s strong views. Food critic Grace Dent also commented on Nigel’s dedication to Brexit, saying that he won’t change his mind on anything.

Standing by their Beliefs

Despite the clash, both Nigel and Fred stood by their beliefs. Nigel emphasized that Brexit is about self-governance and having control over decision-making, while Fred argued that the average person in the UK has lost out because of Farage’s actions.

In the Bush Telegraph, Fred acknowledged that the conversation was bound to happen, but ultimately, their beliefs will remain unchanged.
