Rochelle Humes, former member of The Saturdays and presenter of This Morning, has shared the strict rule she gave her husband Marvin before he entered the I’m a Celebrity jungle. Marvin, who is a singer in JLS, is currently one of the famous faces taking part in the reality show.

Rule for the jungle

Rochelle asked Marvin to remember their ten-year-old daughter’s school commitments and to avoid saying the famous phrase “I’m a celebrity get me out of here” during his time on the show. Speaking on The Heart Evening Show with Dev Griffin, Rochelle said, “Our last conversation I was like ‘I love you, I am already proud of you, be yourself. But also remember our ten-year-old has to go to school on Monday morning, so when it starts on Sunday whatever it is you’re faced with, don’t say I’m a celebrity get me out of here’.”

The challenges of being left behind

Rochelle also opened up about the challenges of being left in the UK with their three children while Marvin is in the jungle. She mentioned how their children are asking to stay up late to watch the show, but Rochelle has had to remind them about school the next day. She said, “I’m getting the whole ‘can I stay up to watch Daddy?’ And I’m like ‘you probably can, because you’ll be alright in the morning… you’ll probably be too tired in the morning, so you can watch it after school’. So yeah, it’s a lot happening, logistically it’s intense.”

A star-studded launch party

Rochelle threw an incredible launch party to celebrate Marvin’s appearance on I’m a Celebrity. Among the guests was Marvin’s JLS bandmate Aston Merrygold. The hosts of the show, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, even made an “appearance” in the form of a cardboard cutout.
