The man called Jesse branded Matt a ‘c***’ live on air

Sara had asked him: “Now, Jesse, everyone’s going to love you for choosing a bit of Queen. What track are we playing and why please?”

But Jesse replied: “We’ll play Don’t Stop Me Now because Matt Hancock’s a c***.”

Remaining cool, Sara quickly cut him off and profusely apologised to listeners, especially those with children in earshot.

The BBC DJ said: “Okay, so we’ve got to cut him off there.

“This is live radio and this kind of thing happens. I can only apologise if you’ve got children listening in the car.

“I’m going to play the tune. Huge apologies. It is live and here’s the song.”

Listeners of Sara’s show were quick to share their shock on Twitter, with one writing: “Turns out BBC Radio 2 don’t have a seven second delay!”

Another said: “I was driving home and heard it live. It felt like I was part of history.”

Someone else tweeted: “I was marking at the time listening to the radio, couldn’t believe it.

“Hopefully children in the north paid no attention due to his accent. ‘Matt Hancock can’t what Mummy?’”

Matt has divided the nation after flying out to Australia to appear in this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

While some viewers have claimed the MP is being “bullied”, others have lashed out at his behaviour.

On Thursday night, Matt was slammed for winning a slap up meal at a beach BBQ, before heading back to main camp and expecting dinner.

One person wrote on Reddit: “Matt asking for any leftovers? Yeah, came off a little bit entitled to me, especially after the ‘feast’ he had.”
