Tony Bellew, former professional boxer and participant on the reality show ‘I’m a Celebrity’, has opened up about the moment he almost walked out of the competition after an emotional reunion with his wife Rachael.
A Surprising Reunion
Bellew admitted that when Rachael unexpectedly appeared in the jungle, it completely caught him off guard and brought him to tears. He said, “I’m not gonna lie, guys. When Rachael appeared in the jungle it took me by complete surprise and it just broke me.”
The Temptation to Quit
The former boxer confessed that seeing his wife made him want to leave the show and be with her. However, Rachael convinced him otherwise. Bellew revealed, “It was only her telling me ‘you can’t just walk out’. If I would’ve walked out it would’ve been such a disappointment because my kids would’ve seen their dad quit and I’ve never quit anything.”
A Powerful Motivation
Rachael’s words of encouragement motivated Bellew to continue in the competition. He shared, “She said ‘you’ve gotta go and they want you to go all the way’. So I was like ‘ok, I’m staying’. But it broke my heart to leave her again.”

Bellew and Rachael have been together since they were 18 years old. They got married in 2018 in a private ceremony at Cheshire’s Peckforton Castle. According to an insider, Rachael is confident and assured in their relationship, and she plays a strong role behind closed doors.
