Josie Gibson, the TV star who was recently eliminated from I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, made her return to This Morning for the first time since leaving the show. After spending four weeks in the jungle, Josie showcased her slimmer figure, having survived on a diet of rice and beans for 22 days.
Reunited with Her Son Reggie
Josie expressed her joy at being reunited with her son Reggie, saying, “I’ve not eaten a hamburger yet but I’ve cuddled Reggie like you wouldn’t believe. It has been so nice to reunite with him.” She also shared her experience of entering the jungle and the challenges she faced, saying, “My first night in there I thought, how am I going to get through this?”
A Vulnerable Experience
Reflecting on her time in the jungle, Josie discussed how the show stripped away her ego and made her feel vulnerable. She emphasized the connection she formed with her fellow camp mates, saying, “You feel quite vulnerable and so we all connected really fast. I could not have done that experience without the camp mates that I had. They all brought their little bit of magic with them.”
Addressing the Clash with Fred Sirieix
Josie also addressed her clash with First Dates star Fred Sirieix, who criticized her cooking in the jungle. Josie clarified that the situation was blown out of proportion, stating, “I do understand he is a trained chef and he didn’t think I knew what I was doing, but I love Fred, we’ve had a really few deep and meaningful conversations.”
Proud of Her Accomplishments
Christine Lampard hailed Josie as the “Queen of the Jungle,” and Josie expressed her pride in herself, proclaiming, “I was the last woman standing in the competition.”
