LOVE Island star Mal Nicol has revealed that Sammy Root made a savage dig about Jess Harding that wasn’t aired.
The 25-year-old entered the villa on day 16 as a bombshell and instantly made a connection with Sammy, 22.

During her time on the ITV2 show, Mal was coupled up with Sammy, while his former flame Jess was cracking on with Mitchel Taylor, 26.
After Sammy entered the villa on day 5, he picked Jess, but during their time as a couple, the hunk made it clear that he “wasn’t closed off” and wanted to get to know other people.
Things seemed to be going well between them and then Mal turned up as a bombshell and they ended up coupling up – leaving Jess heartbroken.
During that time the project manager spoke about Jess behind her back to Mal.
Speaking about what was said on the Pop Off Podcast, Mal said: “Sammy was so loud. He was so loud and I was literally about to say ‘you need to speak quieter.
“He was going in like about how he wasn’t attracted to Jess… and Jess heard.”
Mehdi Edno, who was dumped on the same day as Mal, said: “Oh my god.”
Mal asked: “Do you remember that? That was awful and I went and I was like ‘You need to apologise to her’.
“None of it was shown! I was like ‘you need to go and speak to her because that was horrible’.
“I put myself in her position and I was like I wouldn’t want that.
“I obviously spoke to her as well and said like, ‘that’s awful, I’m so sorry’ but that wasn’t shown.”
It comes after Mal revealed that producers cut snogging scenes and various other clips of her and Sammy.
And after an explosive Movie Night, viewers of the hit show watched as Sammy and Jess argued over the brunette star, after Sammy hinted he had a better connection with Mal while she was there.
Mal appeared to confirm that her connection with Sammy was stronger than viewers may have thought, as she told HOAR that scenes with him were cut.
Attending the KISS Cosmetics summer party, Mal explained: “Sammy and I got on so well. On the day I got dumped he was saying I’m for you and you’re for me, but they never ever showed it.
“I was also always on the terrace but that never got shown. Me and Sammy were always up there kissing.”
Mal explained one particular romantic scene which saw Sammy carry her to the terrace for a smooch, which never aired.
She added: “We were on the daybeds and I told him he was in my dream last night, and he was like ‘what dream,’ and I said ‘you took me up to the terrace.’
“So then he picked me up and carried me all the way up there and we kissed.”
Opening up on her connection with the Project Manager, Mal continued: “All the girls constantly said how Sammy was different with me and the way he treated me was so different to Jess.
“None of it was shown and I don’t know why.”
Since Mal left the villa, Sammy has dumped Amber Wise who he met during Casa Amor, and continued to pursue things with Jess.
However now Jess and Sammy are an official couple.
