MORE than 1,000 people have complained to Ofcom over Love Island’s explosive Movie Night row and Molly Marsh’s return.

There were a total of 466 complaints about Molly being allowed back in the villa after being dumped, as well as 957 complaints about July 9’s Movie Night episode.

A fiery row broke out between Scott and Catherine

An Ofcom spokesman said: “Love Island, 9 July 2023, 957 complaints: The majority of complaints related to alleged bullying towards Scott from the other islanders.

“Love Island, 30 June 2023, 92 complaints: complaints related to contestant Molly Marsh being reintroduced to Casa Amor having been eliminated from the programme the previous week.

“This appeared in last week’s report and the total number of complaints on this issue is now 466.”

Fans had threatened to report the show to the TV regulator after claiming the girls were “bullying” Scott.

It came after the explosive Movie Night scenes aired, and things got very heated as Scott defended himself after they showed a clip of him saying he would turn his head in Casa Amor.

This prompted a fiery row between Scott and Catherine, while Leah also piped up to defend her friend.

Scott was hurt when Leah told him that none of the Casa Amor girls wanted him.

“It’s pretty rough watching. If the roles were reversed tonight (ie a popular islander) everyone would be booting off, but with him it’s clear abuse and everyone moves on with nothing said.”

A lot of viewers responded saying they felt “uncomfortable” with the behaviour on the episode.

One person penned: “Someone has got to complain to the producers or ofcom about the bullying from the girls to Scott because this is getting a bit too much.”

A second added: “Ofcom worthy clip, this is disgusting and the fact Leah wanted an apology after? Wtf.”

A third echoed: “Me rn sending in my complaint to ofcom about how s*** Scott is being treated by those girls.”

And someone else said: “If a woman was being bully by the men the way the girls are bullying Scott there be thousands of complaints on Ofcom. It’s so hard to watch. Love island staff do better.”

A fifth wrote: “I’m in the US so i cant make OFCOM complaints but people PLEASE complain about Catherine’s behavior to scott i beg.”

Meanwhile, fans are still reeling about Molly‘s return to the show.

Molly was dumped from the villa by bombshell Kady McDermott, leaving her heartbroken about leaving love interest Zachariah Noble, 25.

In a rare move by producers, Molly was brought back – despite having returned to the “normal world” back in the UK.

Molly, 21, turned up alongside the other Casa Amor girls to shock Zachariah.

Fans have been disgruntled over the “unfairness” – insisting the rules should not have been changed for the Islander.

Others claim she has taken up the space of other hopefuls.
