FUMING Love Island fans vented on social media as they complained about one of their favourite couples going ‘missing’ from the villa.
Much of tonight’s (June 28) episode focused on Sammy attempting to woo back Jess, and Whitney going from being tearful over Medhi’s departure to expressing an interesting in Zach.
Fans complained that one couple got less screentime than the others tonight
Scott and Catherine were seen interacting very briefly
Whitney and Sammy had to prepare a meal for the villa, which the islanders then ate in their couples, but viewers of the ITV2 juggernaut were not impressed by one pair’s lack of screentime.
They claimed the show featured hardly aired any scenes featuring interaction between Catherine Agbaje and Scott Van Der Sluis,
They went as far as to accuse producers of ‘hiding’ the couple and demanded the editing got a shake up.
One ranted on twitter: “no but genuinely where is the catherine & scott screentime. what the hell?”
A second added: “Not the sammy & Jess story line AGAINNN give Catherine & Scott more screen time please & thank u!!”
A third agreed: “They won’t give Catherine & Scott screen time but it’s these lot they give screen time to.”
Meanwhile a fourth chipped in: “They have literally shown every couple except Catherine & Scott. Like are the producers mad.”
And a fifth screamed: “They purposely hiding catherine & scott now…”
Last week, Scott, 22, was cheered on by viewers as he fumed over Sammy’s comments about him and Catherine, also 22.
Sammy, 22, had accused Scott and Catherine of not being ‘compatible’ in the latest islanders’ vote around the firepit.
And professional goalkeeper Scott was seriously unimpressed.
Speaking to his guy pals while Sammy was off on a date, Scott raged: “Catherine was the first person that I pulled. How does he not see these things in his head?
“When Sammy comes in I’m not going to back down and I’ll tell him exactly how it is. If it’s a home truth, I’ll tell him.”
Scott later confronted Sammy once he was back in the villa.
Taking to Twitter, fans were in support of Scott for calling Sammy out on his comment.
One tweeted: “Scott putting Sammy together and finding loopholes in his arguments. I love a man that stands from a woman.”
Another said: “Yesss Scott!! Put Sammy in his place!!”
