LOVE Island star Catherine Agbaje breaks down in tears tonight after love interest Andre Furtado was dumped from the villa.

The Islanders waved an emotional goodbye to their co-stars

The safe islanders then had to pick who they wanted to go home, choosing Andre and Charlotte.

At the time of dumping, Andre and Catherine had been getting to know each other and had a romantic connection which began

But the shock of Andre’s departure leaves Catherine teary.

Tonight, the commercial real estate agent says through tears: “[He’s] just gone… Like within the blink of an eye. I never thought it would be André going.” She adds: “It’s just hard. It’s abruptly ended.”

After leaving the villa alongside Charlotte, the Love Islander says: “It doesn’t feel best to be dumped from the Villa tonight, however I’ve enjoyed the experience. Something I never thought I’d do and yeah, man, it’s been amazing.”

A number of Love Island fans were left confused at the islanders who were in the bottom six, as well as who had to leave.

Some went as far to say that the show is ‘rigged’.

One said on Twitter: “At least now we know the votes are rigged because wtf was that.”

“RIGGED #LoveIsland,” a second said.

A third chimed in: “hate this show it’s f***ing rigged there’s no way ppl voted Molly over Catherine let’s be 100% honest.”

“Cathrine in top three is crazy …this shii rigged and makes me honestly wanna stop watching because wtf,” a fourth tweeted.

ITV told us: “To be absolutely clear, our programmes are not fixed. To suggest that as a broadcaster we would knowingly deceive our audience by rigging the outcome of our programmes is untrue, and a very serious and reputationally damaging claim to make.

“Broadcasting is tightly regulated and we have a duty not to materially mislead or deliberately deceive our audience. All of our programmes are subject to strict compliance.”

The Islanders are kept on their toes in tonight’s episode, as they also face a shock daytime recoupling.

Ella receives a text asking the Islanders to gather at the fire pit, fresh off the back of the dumping.

In an unexpected twist, they are then told there will be a daytime recoupling and it’s the boys’ turn to choose.

This means Sammy will have to choose who to couple up with, after getting to know both Jess Harding and bombshell Leah Taylor.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
