The Fate of Their Winnings

Love Island winners Sammy Root and Jess Harding have revealed their plans for the £50k prize money they received after winning the reality show this summer. The couple spoke to HOAR at the Who Cares Wins Awards and shared that they have yet to spend any of the money. Sammy, 22, explained that they have been very busy and haven't had the time to think about it. He added that they have been on a holiday together but other than that, they haven't had much free time.

Returning to Work

In addition to discussing their winnings, Sammy and Jess shared that they plan on returning to work. Jess, who owns and runs beauty salon Candy Aesthetics, has already returned to her job and intends to work a couple of days a week. She expressed her love for her job and revealed that she has big plans for her clinic. Sammy, on the other hand, did not mention specific plans but emphasized that they are both very busy with their respective work commitments.

Next Steps in Their Relationship

While moving in together is not on the cards just yet, Sammy and Jess mentioned that their next step as a couple would be going on holidays together. They are prioritizing their careers at the moment but have plans for quality time together in the future.

Jess's Lucrative Fashion Deal

Aside from their show winnings, Jess has also secured a lucrative fashion deal with brand In The Style. According to a source, she met the In The Style team at an event and left a lasting impression. A six-figure deal is currently being negotiated, highlighting Jess's relatability and sweetness as qualities that make her a perfect fit for the brand.

Sammy and Jess, both 22, were the surprise winners of the 2023 series. The couple beat out favorites Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki to claim the crown. Molly Marsh and Zachariah Noble took fourth place, while Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas landed in third.
