ALDI has ignited a spicy battle with Pot Noodle by releasing its own affordable version of the popular snack Bombay Bad Boy. The supermarket's cheeky dupe is called Mumbai Mad Boy, and it has left customers in hysterics.

Aldi's Hilarious Take on Pot Noodle

Aldi's budget version of Pot Noodle's Bombay Bad Boy has been named Mumbai Mad Boy. The discount supermarket has caused quite a stir with its playful twist on the instant noodle pots.

One shopper who spotted the Mumbai Mad Boy in the aisles said, "This is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Aldi's own Bombay Bad Boy called a Mumbai Mad Boy. Pot Noodle's gonna be upset!"

Another customer added, "The audacity of AldiUK never fails to make my day. Mumbai Mad Boy lol!"

Meanwhile, a third person commented, "Love it when AldiUK does this! I'm quite fond of a #potnoodle Bombay Bad Boy… So hats off to Aldi's Mumbai Mad Boy. Great stuff!"

It's safe to say that Aldi's Mumbai Mad Boy has won over shoppers, with one individual confessing, "This is peak Aldi. I don't think I could love them more."

Aldi's Budget Delight

The Mumbai Mad Boys are part of Aldi's Bramwells Express Mega Snack Noodles range. Priced at just 85p for a 114g pot, they are a wallet-friendly alternative to Pot Noodle's 114g King Pot Bombay Bad Boy, which sells for £1.40 in rival supermarkets.

Both products are prepared with boiling water and include a sachet of spicy sauce to add an extra kick.

Aldi describes its Mumbai Mad Boy as "Dried noodles in a hot curry flavour sauce with vegetables and a sachet of hot chili sauce."

Expert Review

Gareth Morgan, also known as Bald Foodie Guy, has reviewed Mumbai Mad Boys for his YouTube channel. He shares, "I've had the Bombay Bad Boy before, and they do pack a lot of heat. Heat-wise, I don't think it's as hot, but you could always add some more chili sauce. It even has peas in here, so I'm getting some healthy vegetables. If you want to save a few quid, then try it rather than getting the Pot Noodle one!"
