ALDI's Swiss Supreme Egg Offers Same Taste at Half the Price

Aldi has delighted shoppers with the release of a brand-new Easter egg just in time for the holiday. The supermarket chain is selling a Toblerone Easter egg dupe that is said to taste exactly like the Swiss chocolatier's version but costs nearly half the price.

Introducing the Swiss Mountain Egg

The new chocolate treat, named the Swiss Mountain Egg, is an almost identical dupe of the Toblerone Easter egg. Made with silky Swiss milk chocolate and drizzles of honey and almond nougat pieces, it comes in a beautifully packaged box. Additionally, the egg includes four mini Mountain Bars with the iconic ridges of the classic Toblerone bars.

High Quality at a Low Price

What sets this dupe apart is the price. The entire 240g egg and four extra bite-sized chocolates are available for just £6.99. This makes it 31% cheaper than the £10 Toblerone equivalent sold by other supermarkets like Asda and Morrisons, and a whopping 41% cheaper than the versions offered by Ocado and Sainsbury's.

The Swiss Mountain Egg will be available for purchase in various Aldi stores starting March 10. This gives Easter enthusiasts plenty of time to indulge in the treat before the holiday on March 31.

Aldi's Easter Range

In addition to the Swiss Mountain Egg, Aldi has introduced several other chocolate-themed goodies for Easter. These include the Giant Galeggsy Egg, a 600g egg that is three times heavier than traditional Easter eggs. The range also features a Salted Caramel Crunch Egg, Belgian chocolate eggs, and various marble eggs in flavors like Valencia Orange, Scottish Raspberry, and Rich Coffee. Additionally, there are chocolate slabs and adorable chocolate bites shaped like Labrador and Golden Retriever dogs.

Other supermarkets across the UK are also launching their Easter ranges, with Cadbury's "ultimate" Easter egg gaining attention at Asda, and Tony's Chocolonely offering a selection of mini eggs. It's clear that chocolate lovers have plenty of options to satisfy their cravings this Easter.
