Caught in the Act

Angela Elizabeth Claire, 45, who claimed she needed help washing and cooking due to poor physical health, was caught taking pole dancing classes and posting videos on TikTok.

Deceiving the System

Clare fiddled £28,000 in benefits claims for Personal Independence Payment, Employment and Support Allowance, and housing benefit between 2016 and 2022, despite engaging in activities like pole dancing.

Contradictory Claims

She failed to notify authorities of her improved health and even won £30,000 in the Postcode Lottery in 2021, all while claiming she needed assistance for basic tasks.

Legal Consequences

Clare entered a guilty plea to dishonestly failing to report a change in circumstances, resulting in a sentence of 18 weeks in jail with a 12-month suspension and other requirements.
