SUMMERTIME – and the cost of living ain’t easy.
Research by HOAR on Sunday has revealed everyone from day trippers to holidaymakers are being fleeced for fun everywhere they turn.

Beer is up 15 per cent at some airports
Those wanting to enjoy all the UK has to offer will be hit with price rises for food and drink, on a trip to the seaside, at the cricket, football and festivals.
Going abroad has seen the cost of a two-week stay in some car parks go up 274 per cent on last year.
Airports are even charging drivers for stopping at the kerb to drop off.
Belfast City introduced a £3 minimum charge this year while Heathrow and Gatwick added £5 drop-off charges after the pandemic.
At Manchester, the charge is £5 for five minutes and £6 for ten.
Longer than ten minutes results in a £25 bill.
Beer is up 15 per cent at some airports and you could spend 30 per cent more for crisps on the plane.
Consumer expert Jane Hawkes, of ladyjaney.co.uk, said: “These shocking price hikes are unfortunately very much in line with the current status quo.
“Most are unavoidable but there are ways you can save money this summer by preparing well.
“For airport parking, pre-book as early as possible and check for discount codes.
“If you can, choose a non-flexible deal as they are much cheaper than amendable booking options.
“Take snacks with you plus a collapsible water bottle which can be refilled once airside before boarding.
“For festivals and events, take bags of snacks, breakfast and dried foods, nibbles and munchies.
Check options on the event website before deciding what food and drink to buy.
