Discount chain B&M has reduced the price of a Prolex filter coffee machine to an incredible £1, a massive 93% reduction from its original price of £15. The deal was discovered by a shopper who shared the find on the Facebook group B&M Scanner And Other Bargains!. The post included a picture of the machine, still in its box with the original sticker price. The B&M Scanner app confirmed the reduced price with a barcode scan.

Features and Availability

The B&M coffee machine, which is available in stores only, comes with a 0.75L glass jug and can make up to six cups of coffee per pot. It features an anti-drip function, a keep warm function, and boil dry protection. Additionally, it has a reusable and washable filter. However, customers are advised to call their local store to confirm availability before making a trip, as stock and prices can vary from store to store.

Comparing Prices

While prices and availability may differ depending on the store, it is unlikely that a coffee machine as cheap as this can be found elsewhere. Most coffee machines retail at £25 or higher, such as the ones found on the Currys website for £24.99 and on Amazon for £36. Some stores even offer coffee machines for as much as £80, such as Barnitts. Therefore, it is advised to compare prices on platforms like Google Shopping to ensure you are getting the best deal.

Using the B&M Scanner App

The B&M Scanner app, available for free on the App Store and Google Play, allows shoppers to scan barcodes to check if the item's price is lower than the advertised price. To use the app, simply click on the "scan" button at the bottom of the homepage. Point your smartphone camera at the barcode of the product you want to scan, and the app will automatically display the item's price. Some items have been known to scan at significantly reduced prices, such as £1, 50p, or even 10p. However, it should be noted that not all items will be reduced, and reductions may vary between stores.

B&M shoppers have been rushing to buy home furniture scanning at just £10 instead of £120, and bargain hunters can find items for as little as 10p through the app.
