Greggs Temporarily Closes Bakery Branch at The Rock Shopping Centre in Bury

Greggs, the popular high street bakery giant, has temporarily closed its store at The Rock Shopping Centre in Bury. While this may disappoint shoppers, it's not all bad news as the closure is to allow for a refurbishment of the store. The work began on September 25 and is expected to be completed by October 7.

If you're a Greggs fan and live in Bury, don't worry! There are two other Greggs locations nearby. You can visit the ones in the Mill Gate Shopping Centre or on Princess Parade. So, it won't be long before you can head back to The Rock Shopping Centre store.

New Greggs Branches Opening

In exciting news, Greggs has recently announced the opening of eight new branches. This includes an outlet store and a drive-thru. Some of these locations may already be open, so be sure to check if there's one near you. The new Greggs locations are:

  • Manchester, Mosley Common Road
  • Stafford, Queens Shopping Park
  • Widnes, Moore Lane South (drive-thru)
  • Basildon, Miles Gray Road
  • Hereford, Holme Lacey Road
  • Maidstone, Week Street
  • Plaistow, Plaistow Road (outlet shop)
  • Poole Hamworthy Trade Centre

In the first half of the year, Greggs closed 44 shops but opened 94 branches, including three outlet stores. While many high street stores have struggled during the pandemic, Greggs has been expanding rapidly.

Free Pizza Promotion

As a treat for new customers, Greggs is giving away free pizza to those who download its app between now and October 16. You can choose from a variety of flavors, including margherita, pepperoni, spicy Mexican chicken, pepperoni hot shot, or spicy veg. The cost of these pizzas normally ranges up to £2.65, but prices may vary depending on your location.
