According to recent data, Brits spend over £5 billion on pizzas each year, with 80% of them ordered from restaurants and takeaways, and the remaining 20% bought from supermarkets.

Popular chains like Franco Manca, Zizzi, and Pizza Express offer cook-at-home options, giving customers the chance to enjoy their favorite pizzas in the comfort of their own homes.

In this article, consumer reporter Lynsey Hope samples pizzas from these chains and provides her verdict and rating out of five for each.

Zizzi has recently launched a range of branded dishes at selected Morrisons stores. Consumer reporter Lynsey Hope tried their Rustica Piccante Pepperoni Pizza to see how it compared to the restaurant version.

According to Hope, the crumbled pepperoni and well-cooked base were enjoyable. The pizza had a spicy taste, thanks to the hot peppers and drizzled chili oil. Considering the price, she felt it was good value.

Franco Manca's Spicy Salami, Fried Onion and Chilli-Infused Honey pizza comes with a sourdough base topped with rich tomato sauce, spicy salami, mozzarella, and fried onions. According to Hope, this pizza was easy to prepare and cooked perfectly in just nine minutes. She praised the base and described it as the best she's ever had outside a restaurant. Overall, she found it to be of exceptional quality and simply delicious.
