Excitement and Debate Surround Nestle's New Cereal

Nestle's new KitKat cereal, which launched earlier this year in UK supermarkets, has sparked both excitement and debate among shoppers. Priced at approximately £3.50 per box, the cereal has generated interest from cereal and KitKat enthusiasts alike. A recent poll from HOAR revealed that around 65% of participants were excited to try the new cereal.

Mixed Reviews Surface on Facebook

However, since its release, the KitKat cereal has become the subject of debate among those who have tried it. Over a hundred people took to Facebook to share their thoughts on a post from Food Finds UK Official. Reviews were varied, with some calling it "so nice" and others labeling it an "overpriced coco pop." One commenter expressed their indifference, stating that it was neither the best nor the worst.

Comparisons and Price Complaints

Several comments on Facebook mentioned the perceived high price of the cereal. One person called it "another cereal way overpriced," while others pointed out that discount stores like Poundland and B&M sell KitKat cereal boxes for less than the average retail price. Additionally, criticism was raised regarding the taste, with some comparing it to other cereal brands like Weetos and expressing disappointment that it didn't taste more like KitKat.

The Essence of KitKat in a Cereal

The Nestle branded cereal is said to "maintain the essence" of the popular chocolate, containing 7.4g of sugar per 30g serving, which is 8% of an adult's recommended daily intake. Sarah Fordy, head of marketing at Cereal Partners UK and Ireland, explained that the cereal was developed to cater to consumers seeking an occasional indulgent breakfast option that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.

Not Everyone Convinced, But Some are Hooked

Despite the mixed reviews, there are still fans of the KitKat cereal. One shopper expressed their love for the product, stating that they cannot start their day without it. Whether the cereal lives up to the delicious taste of KitKat remains a matter of personal preference.

Nestle is known for other popular brands such as Aero, M&M, Smarties, Quality Street, and Milkybar.
