A major high street chain is hosting free pet workshops for families, with parents reporting that their children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Interactive and educational

The My Pet Pals workshops, currently taking place at Pets at Home, aim to educate families on the benefits of keeping fish as pets. These 45-minute sessions, running until April 14, offer a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Hands-on learning

Participants can observe fish swimming, learn interesting facts about them, engage in crafts and coloring activities, and gain valuable insights into pet care and responsibility. The workshops are designed to show children the joys of pet ownership and how to properly care for animals.

Rave reviews from parents

One mother shared her positive experience on a Facebook bargains group, expressing how her boys loved interacting with Guinea pigs, hamsters, and fish during the workshop. She plans to attend again during the next school break.

Expanding reach

Pets at Home, known for offering a variety of pet supplies and small animals like hamsters and rabbits, has announced plans to open 40 new stores in the next five years. While specific locations are still being determined, the majority will be situated within the M25 and urban areas.

With these free workshops, Pets at Home is not only providing entertainment for families but also fostering a greater understanding of pet welfare and responsible ownership.
