A LITTLE-KNOWN shop can actually be cheaper than Tesco and B&M with prices starting at just £1.

The Online Pound Store has dozens of bargains including big brand names such as Garnier and Air Wick, but for far less.

An online shop is actually cheaper than Tesco and B&M

The website has been going since 2014 and offers a whole range of products – from kids accessories and bedding to health and beauty items.

At a time when we are all looking to save cash wherever we can and prices are continuing to shoot up – we’ll grab discounts where we can.

While most of the online store’s items are huge reductions compared to high street shops, not everything is always £1.

But due to the large range of over 6,000 products available online it means there’s likely something for everyone.

The company comes Trustpilot verified, which means customers have had a genuine experience with the retailer and it’s legitimate.

It also comes with a 4.4 out of 5 star rating on the review website, with hundreds of people giving it five stars.

Many of the five star reviews note the speedy delivery, which costs from £4.95, and low prices.

Shoppers looking for some every day discounts without having to leave their house could save cash at Online Pound Store.

Among the bargains up for grabs is Carex soap for £1.20, the same item would cost you £1.80 at Tesco and £1.79 at discounter B&M.

You could also add a bottle of Sanex shower gel to your cart for just £1.75 – 54p less than at Boots where it costs £2.25.

To give your home a nice scent you could also grab a Air Wick refill pack for £2.99, compared to £3.99 at B&M.

We also found that you can grab a can of Lynx for just £2.70, but the same can will cost you £4 at Tesco.

And a box of Strepsils costs £2.95 at the online bargain shop, compared to £3.75 at Tesco.

But not everything will be cheaper than other stores, we did find Online Pound Store to be up to 20p more expensive on some items than in B&M for example.

It does appear that Online Pound Store has some good deals on branded products, but as you can see from the items we checked they are not always the cheapest.

This is why it is good to shop around to make sure that you are getting the best deal.

If you’re looking for some more deals with prices starting at just £1, why not try high street stores like Poundland or Poundstretcher.

There are other websites too like PoundShop.com and 5poundstuff.com.

It’s always important to check out how much other retailers are selling a product for instead of diving into the first offer you see.

You can use the Google Shopping tab to trawl the internet to find out how much it is being sold for elsewhere.

Meanwhile, websites like trolley.co.uk let you compare thousands of products based on their online prices.

But bear in mind that means you might not make the same savings as buying in-store.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.

We have also revealed a bargain supermarket you’ve never heard of owned by B&M that’s cheaper than Tesco and Asda.

And there is a little-known shop where you can get popular brands such as Doritos and Heinz for as little as 95p.
