There are days when spending hours over a stove is the last thing you want to do. Thankfully, filled pasta is a quick and easy meal option that can be found at nearly all supermarkets for a great price.

Haylet Minn's Pasta Taste Test

Pasta-lover Haylet Minn decided to try out all the spinach and ricotta-filled pasta options available at various supermarkets. She rated each one based on flavor and overall quality.

Morrisons Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni

Price: £2.25 or 2 for £3.50

This tortelloni stood out from the rest because it included butternut squash in addition to spinach and ricotta. However, the flavors didn't quite come together as expected, making it a somewhat disappointing choice.

Tesco Spinach & Ricotta Fresh Tortelloni

Price: £2 or £1.80 with Clubcard

While this tortellini was tasty enough, the flavors of the cheese and spinach were not as strong as some of the other options. It definitely needed some sauce and seasoning to enhance the taste.

Co-op Fresh Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni

Price: £2.50

This tortelloni was an absolute delight! The pasta had the perfect texture, with a soft but slightly al dente exterior. The filling had a strong and delicious combination of cheese and spinach flavors. This is the clear winner in Haylet's taste test.

Sainsbury's Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni

Price: £2 or £1.75 with Nectar

Sainsbury's offering of tortelloni impressed Haylet with its generous amount of filling and the bold flavors of spinach and ricotta. A dash of pepper was all it needed to elevate the taste. Plus, it's great value with a Nectar card.

Waitrose Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli

Price: £3.60

Although the most expensive option, Waitrose's spinach and ricotta ravioli offers slightly more pasta for your money. The filling is flavorful and the pasta has a delightful texture. It's perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.

ASDA Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni

Price: £2 or 2 for £3.50

Unfortunately, this tortelloni fell short in terms of flavor. The spinach and ricotta were barely noticeable, and the pasta tended to fall apart easily. It needed a lot of sauce and seasoning to taste good.

Lidl Deluxe Spinach & Ricotta Girasoli

Price: £2.19

Lidl's deluxe range features girasoli pasta instead of tortelloni or ravioli. Although you don't get as much pasta as other options, the filling is beautiful and the texture is perfect. It's definitely worth a try.

The Verdict

After trying out all the options, Haylet Minn crowned Co-op's Fresh Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni as the winner. With its delicious flavors and perfect texture, it's a top-notch choice for any pasta lover.
