Tesco Urges Customers to Redeem Clubcard Points or Risk Losing Them
Tesco has issued a warning to millions of its shoppers, urging them to quickly redeem their Clubcard points or risk missing out on their share of £16 million worth of rewards. The supermarket giant has reminded customers that the points, which were initially launched in November 2021, must be claimed within two years. With just 16 days remaining, Tesco customers are being encouraged to use their points in-store and online to save money on their purchases.

Tesco Clubcard holders can exchange every 150 points for £1.50, providing a valuable opportunity to reduce the cost of their shopping. In addition to in-store savings, the vouchers can also be used to cut the cost of car fuel and even doubled in value to spend at over 100 reward partners, including popular restaurants like Pizza Express and Zizzi. Customers can also apply their vouchers to their Tesco mobile bill.

Emma Botton, Tesco Group customer director, emphasized the importance of taking advantage of the Clubcard scheme, stating, "With more than £16 million worth of Clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of November, we’re reminding customers to spend them now – or even use them to get ahead with some early Christmas shopping."
How Does the Tesco Clubcard Scheme Work?
The Tesco Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, which can then be converted into vouchers for money off food or used with reward partner schemes. For every £1 spent in-store or online, customers receive one point when their Clubcard or app is scanned. Drivers using Clubcards also earn points for fuel purchases. Each point is worth 1p, meaning 150 points can be exchanged for £1.50. To request a voucher, a minimum of 150 points is required. Vouchers can be used at Tesco stores or doubled in value to spend with reward partners. Clubcard holders can also access discounted prices on over 8,000 items through Clubcard Prices, saving an average of £351 on their annual shop.
