Waitrose Launches Festive Campaign with Graham Norton Cameo

Waitrose has unveiled its highly anticipated Christmas advert for this year, featuring a cameo appearance from beloved British chat show host, Graham Norton. The posh supermarket has partnered with Saatchi & Saatchi for its first-ever Christmas campaign, which aims to capture relatable festive moments.

Celebrating the "Good Stuff" of Christmas

This 90-second advert from Waitrose highlights the importance of food and drink in Christmas celebrations. The campaign showcases a fun Christmas party filled with relatable mishaps, including guests arriving too early and getting locked in a bathroom. Despite these minor setbacks, everyone forgets about them once they taste the delicious food on offer.

Soundtrack and Special Appearance

The soundtrack for the advert is the party anthem "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode. The ad also features a surprise cameo appearance from Graham Norton, who brings the No.1 Golden Bûche de Noël to the party, adding an extra touch of excitement.

Creating Magical Memories with Delicious Food

Nathan Ansell, Waitrose customer director, emphasizes the role of delicious food and drink in creating special moments during the Christmas season. He acknowledges that while Christmas may not always go smoothly, the inconveniences are quickly forgotten when surrounded by loved ones and enjoying tasty food. As the saying goes, "when the food's good, everything else is good."

Waitrose Christmas Advert Premiere

The Waitrose Christmas advert will make its television debut on November 2 at 8.15pm during the popular show Emmerdale on ITV1. Viewers can look forward to a heartwarming and entertaining commercial that captures the essence of the festive season.
