The PM is gearing up for a ‘do or die’ battle to save the United Kingdom if Nicola Sturgeon storms to victory in the Scottish elections

The firebrand SNP boss is demanding another independence referendum if the SNP win a majority in the Scottish Parliament.

Elections supremo Sir John Curtice said the SNP will get the largest number of seats but faced a “knife edge” battle to walk away with an outright majority.

But Ms Sturgeon will definitely be re-elected as Scotland’s First Minister as she will be propped up in power by the pro indy Greens.

Boris has repeatedly hit out at Ms Sturgeon’s “divisive” calls for yet another referendum.

Speaking earlier this week while out on the election campaign trail, he said: “Most people in Scotland, most people around the whole of the UK, feel that this is not the time – as we are coming forward out of a pandemic together – to have a reckless, and I think irresponsible, second referendum.

“I think what most people want is to focus on the country and taking it forward and rebuilding our economy and getting people into work.

“That seems to me the priority.”

Scots voted against independence in 2014 in a decisive vote – and politicians said the issue was put to rest for at least a generation.

Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross suggested a visit from the PM would only boost the pro-independence movement

But the raging nationalists have demanded a fresh vote in the wake of Brexit.

Bojo has set up a new ‘Union Unit’ in No10 to try to save the 300 year-old union of the UK.
