SCUNTHORPE, ENGLAND - JUNE 08: Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer visits the British Steel manufacturing site in North Lincolnshire on June 8, 2023 in Scunthorpe, England. Keir Starmer and Ed Miliband used the visit to reiterate the Party's commitment to working with business to drive growth and generate the jobs of the future and that under Labour the British steel industry will be supported, ensuring that the next generation of green steel is built in the UK. JUST Stop Oil has responded to Labour’s eco policies by describing them as “exactly what we are demanding”.

Sir Keir Starmer’s party will block new oil and gas developments in the North Sea as part of their Net Zero drive.

The remarks from Just Stop Oil will fuel fears that Keir Starmer’s Labour is in hock to the eco mob

Just Stop Oil spokeswoman Emma Brown hailed the plan, which was first announced late last year.

Appearing on the Politics Weekly podcast in October with Labour’s climate change chief Ed Miliband, she said: “I heard (your) net zero strategy for energy.

“It’s basically our demand.

“It’s no new fossil fuel licences and a decarbonised energy system by 2030.”

The remarks will fuel fears that Labour is in hock to the eco mob.

The group is bankrolled by Dale Vince, who has also donated £1.5million to the Labour Party.

Just Stop Oil has caused misery for Brits with their protests.

Their slow walking marches on Britain’s roads caused gridlock and chaos, delaying ambulance responses to 999 calls.
