A FAR left mob today booed BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg as she tried to ask Jeremy Corbyn a question at Labour’s manifesto launch.
Rebecca Long-Bailey was introducing the seasoned political editor in Birmingham when jeering rippled through the crowd.
The Labour leader was forced to intervene, saying: “No, no, no, no, no, sorry, we don’t do that.
“All journalists will be heard with respect.”
The booing was then replaced with clapping before Kuenssberg posed her question to the Labour leader.
UNDER ATTACK
The 43-year-old journalist has repeatedly come under attack from Corbyn supporters, some of whom claim she holds anti-Labour views.
In 2016 she was greeted with hissing and boos at a speech given by Corbyn at the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
In the same year campaign group 38 degrees took down a petition calling for Kuenssberg to be sacked after it became a focal point for “sexist and hateful abuse”, the site’s executive director said.
The BBC even hired bodyguards to keep her safe after the trolls sparked safety fears.
Kuenssberg is not the only journalist to face abuse by certain sections of the Labour Party.
In August, Corbyn was also forced to step in on multiple occasions after his own supporters jeered journalists asking questions at a Labour press conference.
