REBEL Tory MPs will tomorrow launch an alternative manifesto to slash immigration by the next election – in a fresh blow to Rishi Sunak’s authority.

In a fiery intervention, the New Conservatives Group will say the PM must deliver the 2019 Tory manifesto pledge to cut net migration numbers.

The group of mainly Red Wall MPs includes Danny Kruger

It stood at 226,000 when Boris Johnson made the vow – but has rocketed to an all-time high of 606,000 since then.

Rishi has repeatedly refused to commit to the promise – which would mean cutting immigration by around 400,000 in a year.

The group of mainly Red Wall MPs – which includes Lee Anderson, Tom Hunt and Danny Kruger – have come up with a radical plan to slash numbers.

Sources told HOAR on Sunday it will recommend:

  • Increasing salary thresholds so foreign workers have to earn more to move here
  • Massively extending the crackdown on foreign students bringing their family to Britain
  • Restricting foreign workers from bringing relatives over to the UK

Their blueprint risks reigniting the Tory civil war and damaging the party in the run up to three nightmare by-elections.

The group is expected to savage our failing migration system – accusing Britain of being addicted to cheap foreign labour.

This undercuts wages and shatters faith in the system, they are expected to add.

The Tories are in danger of “eroding public trust” unless they get a grip on the crisis, a source close to the group said.

But the bombshell intervention will spark fury in No10, which is trying to keep a lid on the warring Tory factions as the party lags behind in the polls.

Meanwhile, Tory ex Cabinet minister George Eustice has called for more immigration, claiming this will help cut inflation.
