Suella Braverman's plan to ban homeless people from sleeping in tents has been officially scrapped, according to a statement from Downing Street today.

Government Backtracks on Tent Ban

Suella Braverman, the former Home Secretary, faced backlash after her proposal to ban tents for rough sleepers was leaked. She controversially referred to rough sleeping as a "lifestyle choice." However, the plan will not be included in the Criminal Justice Bill, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Charities Spared from Distributing Tents

Under Braverman's plan, charities would have been prohibited from distributing tents to people sleeping on the streets. The Prime Minister did not endorse the idea and distanced himself from Braverman's comment about rough sleeping being a "lifestyle choice."

"Dossier of Failure" Threatened

Allies of Suella Braverman claim that she is preparing to release a "dossier of failure" regarding the government's efforts to prevent illegal Channel crossings. Braverman allegedly possesses evidence highlighting the shortcomings of Number 10's "stop the boats" policy. The release of this information is anticipated after the Supreme Court's verdict on the lawfulness of the Rwanda deportation plan is announced tomorrow.

Whitehall is on edge as Braverman has promised to speak out further following her dismissal as Home Secretary.
