The Austrian government expressed a desire to learn from the UK's experience in processing asylum applications outside of Europe. Karner stated that Austria can benefit from the UK's knowledge and hopes to advance similar procedures outside of Europe.

Tackling Serious and Organised Crime, Cyber Security, and Online Radicalisation

In addition to addressing migration issues, the two countries also agreed to collaborate on tackling serious and organised crime, boosting cyber security, and preventing online radicalisation.

Braverman emphasized that the migration crisis places an unprecedented burden on communities and public services. She praised Austria as a close ally in tackling illegal migration and highlighted the importance of sharing knowledge and strategies, such as third-country removals.

Similar Asylum-Seeker Processing Offshore Efforts in Germany and Denmark

The UK's approach to processing asylum-seekers outside of Europe has garnered attention from other countries as well. Germany's Free Democrats, one of the three parties in the coalition government, is advocating for offshore processing. Similarly, Denmark aims to relocate migrants to a country outside of the EU.
