THE Bank of England is facing questions over whether an employee posed as a zombie for an anti-government demo during office hours.

His participation came despite his role working on climate change matters at the Bank.
He is also Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Mid Bedfordshire, but was left red-faced this week after being exposed as an eco zealot by HOAR.
The rally was against new laws that curb extreme protests by environmental activist groups.
Tory MP Danny Kruger, who is on the Treasury Select Committee, yesterday called for a probe into the “influence Greenpeace and other extreme climate activist groups may have over employees of the Bank”.
He also demanded to know whether Mr Strathern’s protest and other political actions have taken place in Bank time.
His letter added: “Mr Strathern has failed in his duty to avoid any suggestion that the Bank is being inappropriately influenced.
“Can you rule out he was not meeting senior members of the Opposition or far-left protest groups during his working day at the Bank of England?”
Last night, the Bank of England declined to comment on staffing issues.
