December 31: A New Law Takes Effect

Ministers have confirmed today that XL Bully dogs will be banned in Britain starting from December 31 this year. The new laws, formally laid in Parliament, will prohibit the breeding, selling, advertising, rehoming, abandoning, and allowing an XL Bully dog to stray.

Existing Dogs Given Amnesty

While existing XL Bullies have been given an amnesty, they will be required to be muzzled and on a lead in public from December 31.

February 1, 2024: Stricter Measures

Starting from February 1, 2024, it will also become illegal to own an XL Bully dog unless it is on the Index of Exempted Dogs.
