Margot, 29 who found fame in teatime soap Neighbours in her native Australia before moving to London, then the States told how she and director husband Tom Ackerley cannot wait to catch up with the couple in person.

She said: I have known Prince Harry for a while and he is a really great guy.

I know as much as anybody what a big decision it is to move halfway across the world.

I still miss London a lot but I had my reasons for moving and they have their reasons for the decision.

It isnt something taken lightly. If they are going to spend more time in LA, we would love to have dinner with them.

Margot is the eighth best-paid actress of 2019, according to Forbes magazine, with 18million banked over the year.

She and Harry, 35, became friends after meeting at a London housewarming party thrown by model Suki Waterhouse in December 2015.

Instagram shots taken on the night show the prince in green fancy-dress glasses and a cap squeezed into a photobooth with Margot, Suki, his cousin Princess Eugenie, model Cara Delevingne and actress Sienna Miller.

Yet Margot later admitted she had been talking to Harry for half an hour and failed to recognise the royal.

She said: When I saw him in those glasses I was like, Oh my God, I didnt know Ed Sheeran was at the party. And he was really offended. He was like, Shut up!

The pair went on to become friends and Margot described Harry as the most normal guy ever.

She also confessed that she prank- called Harry with co-star Cara Delevingne a long-time friend of the Prince from the set of 2016 movie Suicide Squad.

Margot explained: While we were filming Cara said, Lets prank-call Harry. I was like, You cant prank-call royalty but we did, and he was so cool with it.

Margot, who played deranged supervillain Harley Quinn in the hit movie, produced and stars in sequel Birds Of Prey: The Fantabulous Emancipation Of Harley Quinn, which is in cinemas now.

And she told how Harleys girl gang in the film was inspired by her own group of pals, who are prone to a wild night out.

She said: It seemed crazy that in real life I was always hanging out with a girl gang.

Margot Robbie is now one of the world’s best paid actresses after banking 18m last year

Whether its my London, Aussie or American girls, we always roll in a gang, yet I so rarely see a girl gang on screen.

“I thought it would be really cool for Harley to have a girl gang so I pitched the idea.

It was amazing to have this group in the movie that she could dip in and out of.

It really made me think of my own girlfriends, though the worst thing we get up to on a night out is drinking our body weight in tequila.

Harley and her gang are a little more sadistic than that.

Theres a perception that a female action movie is a chick flick but this is no chick flick.

Margot has starred in hit movies including The Wolf Of Wall Street, I, Tonya, Mary Queen Of Scots and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

But Neighbours fans will recall an 18-year-old Margot hitting their screens in 2008 as bubbly schoolgirl Donna Freedman.

The actress, who grew up on a fruit farm in Queensland, believed that would be the pinnacle of her career.

Margot says she cannot believe her incredible success

More than a decade later Margot admits she still battles a fear that she does not deserve her enormous success.

She explained: When I was in Neighbours I didnt think it could get any better.

I still occasionally suffer from imposter syndrome, but I have got to the place where I have started to think I am good enough.

One of the secrets is to not hold back and dont be afraid to ask.

Quentin Tarantino is one of the greatest directors of all time, so I wrote to him explaining how much I would love to be in one of his movies.

A couple of months later I am reading a script in his kitchen, drinking his beer. If you dont ask, youll never know.

Margot is now getting into producing movies as well as starring in them

After that meeting Margot was cast as tragic Sixties actress Sharon Tate, alongside Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, in Tarantinos controversial 2019 movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

It scooped two gongs at the Academy Awards last week, where Margot lost out on Best Supporting Actress for her role in Bombshell, alongside Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron.

On the back of her success on- screen, Margot launched LuckyChap Entertainment company with Tom, who she married in Byron Bay, Australia, in 2016.

Their first hit came with 2017s I, Tonya, which they both produced and in which Margot starred in as scandal-hit US figure skater Tonya Harding.

The film was nominated for three Oscars, with Allison Janney picking up Best Supporting Actress.

Margot is not phased by the challenge of simultaneously acting and producing a movie.

She added: I really enjoy it. Ive done it a few times and I dont mind wearing both hats and I dont feel like one role is sacrificed for the other.

Never mind inviting Harry and his wife to dinner Margot should expect a call from the Prince touting Meghan for a role in her next movie.
