Royal author claims Meghan Markle is disappointed she hasn't landed a contract with Dior

Meghan Markle is reportedly "desperate for an endorsement from Dior" and disappointed that she hasn't secured a contract with the fashion brand, according to a royal author. Since stepping down as senior royals, Meghan and Prince Harry have been working hard to secure lucrative deals with big brands to support themselves financially. However, Meghan is said to be particularly keen on a fashion deal with Dior, but has yet to land one.

Meghan's Efforts and Disappointment

Royal author Tom Bower reveals that Meghan has made significant efforts to secure an endorsement deal. He notes that she looks amazing at the moment and is clearly working hard at it. However, her desire for an endorsement with a brand like Dior has been disappointing for Meghan, as she has not been able to land a contract.

Meghan's History with Dior

Meghan has worn Dior on several occasions during her time as a working royal, including for the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations and at the Queen's funeral. This association with Dior has led Meghan to seek an endorsement deal with the fashion house.

No Contract Inked

Sources close to the Royals have confirmed that no contract has been signed between Meghan and Dior. Additionally, Dior has expressed surprise and confusion when the idea of a deal was initially brought up. A Dior insider stated that their team was unaware of how the story came about.

A Missed Opportunity

It was reported that Meghan lost out on a lucrative Dior job to an actress who portrays Kate Middleton in the hit series The Crown. Meg Bellamy, who plays a young Kate Middleton, has been named the new face of Dior. The fashion house has a history of working with the royal family, with Dior having designed Queen Elizabeth's Coronation gown in 1953.

Financial Independence

Since leaving the royal family and their royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan have aimed to become financially independent. They have secured deals with Netflix and Spotify through their production company, Archewell Productions, and have released documentaries and podcasts. Additionally, Harry is set to publish a memoir for which he reportedly received a £16 million advance.

Meghan's desire for a fashion endorsement deal with Dior has yet to materialize, but she and Harry continue to pursue opportunities to support themselves financially outside of the royal family.
