MEGHAN Markle was something of a heartbreaker in her teens, a former school friend has revealed.
US reality star Nema Vand claimed that the Duchess of Sussex “toyed with his heart” in high school.
The 37-year-old Shahs of Sunset star discussed his relationship with Meghan in the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast.
Nema explained that he had attended an all-boys high school that was twinned with Meghan’s.
Speaking on the podcast he said: “She knew what she was doing, she toyed with our hearts masterfully.”
And Nema himself had a near-miss when it came to romance with the now-royal.
“We were at a party one time and she sat on my lap” he said, “She got nose to nose with me. For a 16-year-old guy, that is an emotional moment.
“She said to me in Farsi, ‘You are so beautiful.’ I asked her, ‘How do you know Farsi?’ She said, ‘I learned it for you.’ Then she walked away.
“I like to hope Meghan Markle is watching ‘Shahs of Sunset,’ and I like to hope she tells that almost-make-out story as authentically as I do”.
Nema revealed that one particular pal of his didn’t have such fond memories of Meg.
But Vand was also quick to point out that not everyone looks back on their past with the former actress so fondly.
“And by the way, if Meghan Markle is listening, I am going to say this one time. Meghan, you really upset our friend Gabe,” he said.
“My friend Gabe that I grew up with dated Meghan in high school and he says that after she got on ‘Suits,’ they were friends for years, and afterwards he said she kind of ghosted him.
“It really hurt his feelings. I got the sense Gabe really valued her friendship.
“So Meghan, if you hear this, reach out to Gabe. You know who that is, and just right that ship.”
But Nema was all praise for his former childhood crush.
“Meghan was amazing, a woman among girls”, he said, “Everyone was in love with her. She was sweet, and very kind.
“We admired her, she was a good friend.”
