PRINCE Andrew today donned a huge white face mask as he headed to Windsor Castle after the Queen’s return.
The 60-year-old royal covered up with the heavy duty mask as he drove in Windsor just after the Queen returned from her break at Sandringham.
The Queen arrived at the Berkshire royal residence on Tuesday, but the Duke of Edinburgh stayed in Norfolk.
The couple – who have been married for 73 years next month – have spent much of lockdown together, with the Queen continuing her royal duties and Prince Philip even issuing a message of support to NHS workers.
And it’s likely the Queen’s second son was visiting his 94-year-old mother when he was seen at Windsor today.
Just last month he was seen at Balmoral in what was his first sighting since being in crisis talks with the monarch over his continuing scandal around his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew has kept a low profile since stepping back from his royal duties, with it most recently reported that he won’t attend this year’s Remembrance Sunday service.
In July, Andrew was left out of official pictures released yesterday of his other daughter Beatrice’s surprise wedding – even though he walked her down the aisle.
He hasn’t posted on his social media pages since November last year when he announced he would be stepping back from royal duties.
The Royal is currently under increasing pressure from the FBI to cooperate with them about his friendship with dead paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
It comes after Virginia Giuffre accused British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of arranging for her to have sex with Prince Andrew three times in 2001.
Andrew has vehemently denied allegations he slept with Epstein’s sex slave Virginia Roberts.
US prosecutors accuse the duke of failing to help their investigation into paedophile Epstein and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.
The US Department of Justice submitted a request to the Home Office in April to speak to Andrew.
The Met has said it is willing to help. The duke’s lawyers insist they have repeatedly offered to do so.
