Something Comical for the Queen

Prince Harry, known for his sense of humor, once gave the late Queen a racy gift for Christmas. On the TV show A Very Royal Christmas: Sandringham Secrets, it was revealed that Harry bought the Queen a shower cap with the phrase "ain't life a b**h" printed on it. While the Queen may have found it hilarious, former royal butler Paul Burrell wasn't sure if she would use it daily, as she prefers baths over showers.

Meghan Markle's Joke Present

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, also had a knack for giving funny presents. According to experts, she once gave the Queen a singing hamster toy. However, it's possible that the corgis enjoyed it more than the Queen did.

Harry's Pranks

Prince Harry was known for his pranks within the royal family. On one occasion, he reportedly gave the Queen a "pool of plastic sick" as a gift. He also once placed a plastic fly in the sugar basin, causing the Queen to exclaim in surprise. Additionally, Harry was spotted buying a mystery feather-edged thong for an unknown recipient before he married Meghan.

Tongue-in-Cheek Christmas

According to royal editor Katie Nicholl, if a gift can make the Queen laugh, it's considered a success. The more kitsch and tongue-in-cheek, the better. The Queen doesn't appreciate ostentatious or lavish presents.

Christmas at Sandringham

While Christmas used to be one of the Queen's favorite times of the year, not everyone enjoyed the Sandringham celebrations. Princess Diana, in particular, did not like Christmas with the Windsors. She preferred to retreat to her room or chat with the staff instead of mingling with other guests.

Continuing the Tradition

After the passing of the late monarch, this will be the second Christmas without Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles and Queen Camilla will continue the tradition at Sandringham this year. Prince Harry and Meghan, on the other hand, are expected to celebrate Christmas in California with their children.

Hope for Improved Relations

Despite recent tensions, there is hope for improved relations between Prince Harry and the Royal Family. Harry recently broke six months of silence to call King Charles and wish him a happy birthday.
