SARAH Ferguson has revealed that walking the late Queen’s corgis is helping her breast cancer recovery.

The duchess, 63, had an eight-hour mastectomy operation last month.

Sarah Ferguson has revealed that walking the late Queen’s corgis is helping her breast cancer recovery.

We told how she was diagnosed after a routine scan but the surgery at London’s private King Edward VII Hospital was said to be a success.

Fergie and ex-husband Prince Andrew were left the dogs when Queen Elizabeth died last year.

She wrote on Instagram: “I am slowly working my way back to a healthy body post-surgery.

“The corgis and I are so excited to be taking our walks together again!

“I can’t thank my doctors, nurses and medical professionals enough.

“I encourage anyone who can to get screened.”

And speaking on her Tea Talks podcast, Fergie said: “Having seven dogs they don’t understand, perhaps I’m not as mobile as I was, so they’re going ‘hello, come on, it’s all about me’.

“Dogs are very needy aren’t they?

“They’re corgis, they are used to people coming in and taking them for walks.

“So they are looking at me and going ‘and, your point is what? You’ve got your feet up, watching Wimbledon. Oh no mum, you’re out’.

“I did hear today that I’m allowed to do more walking, so they might be happy with me now.”

Fergie and Andrew are set to be asked to leave Royal Lodge, in Windsor, but they have rejected the offer of moving into Frogmore Cottage.
