CORONATION Street fans are in shock at the horrific murder of Leo by Stephen Reid.
The structural engineer – who is played by actor Joe Frost in the ITV soap – was hurled over a balcony into a bin by bankrupt businessman Stephen in tonight’s episode.
Stephen left fans stunned tonight as he murdered Leo
Fans could not believe what they were witnessing
Leo spotted Stephen meeting Gabrielle for a clandestine meeting at the factory and followed them inside on Monday night’s Coronation Street.
Climbing up the walk way at the top, Leo carefully watched as Gabrielle warned Stephen that she wanted her cash back.
She gave her ex a month, insisting she will go to the police if she doesn’t get the money then.
Leo then made himself known and Stephen panicked.
“You’re fleecing Audrey to keep yourself out of prison, which explains why you booked a valuation at Grasmere Drive, a week ago not months like you told your poor old dementia ravaged mother,” he told him.
And when he told him he was about to call Audrey and warn her and then call the police Stephen knocked his phone out of his hand.
“You need to calm down old man, you’ll do yourself an injury,” Leo told Stephen as he bent down to pick up his phone.
But as he did, Stephen hit him in the head and smashed it into the metal pole.
He then hurled Leo over the barrier into the bin below.
Stephen ran down to see if Leo was alive, but before he could check Sarah walked out of the factory with a bin bag.
Panicking Leo interrupted her and took the bag and threw it over Leo before slamming the lid shut and accompanying his niece for a drink.
However at the next table Rita, Gemma and Daisy were throwing Jenny a goodbye dinner for her life in Canada with Leo.
Stephen then panicked when Carla summoned him to the factory with the police there over the open gantry door.
The police arrived and searched the area – even opening the bin – but missed the presence of Leo’s body.
It gave Stephen the chance to return in the dead of night to retrieve Leo’s body and stash it in the back of a van.
Viewers are horrified at the turn of events.
One wrote: “What was happened if Leo‘s dead?! Definitely he’s dead because Stephen is a new serial killer just like Richard Hillman.”
A second said: “lmao kinda hope Leo is alive but pretends to be dead and messes with Stephen causing him to go mad hahahaha.”
