KEVIN Webster has been put through the wringer last year after heaps of drama with his wife Abi.

But he gets the shock of a lifetime when bad news reaches him next week in Coronation Street.

One Corrie legend will suffer a heart attack next week

Kevin gets the sad news

This follows months of drama with his wife Abi

The mechanic played by Michael Le Vell has been enjoying quieter times in Weatherfield following his wife’s intense custody battle for baby Alfie.

However, in scenes due on ITV next week, Kevin gets a new devastating blow, months after finally finding balance.

Kevin learns that his father Bill, who was once a Corrie stalwart, has had a heart attack – but did he survive?

How will Kevin cope?

Bill Webster hasn’t been seen in Weatherfield since 2011 and he only appeared to attend granddaughter Sophie’s wedding to Sian Powers – which didn’t even go ahead.

A family man first and foremost, Bill decided it was time to look after himself and moved away to Germany after retiring from his job as a builder.

While he didn’t visit his children Kevin and Debbie Webster much, Bill kept in touch.

This allowed Kevin to find out Bill had a heart attack in 2013.

At the time, Kevin decided to leave Weatherfield for Germany with his son Jack to tend to Bill before coming back in March 2014 when his father made progress.

Unfortunately, Bill broke his leg a month later, forcing Kevin to rush back to Germany to take care of him.

Kevin returned to Weatherfield soon after, hinting all was finally well with Bill.

But as fans of the Manchester-based drama will remember, Bill Webster actor Peter Armitage passed away on November 30, 2018, at the age of 78.

Ironically, the soap star succumbed to a heart attack, four years after revealing he had survived bowel cancer.

His former Corrie co-star Charlie Lawson aka Jim McDonald in the cobbles, broke the sad news online.

The Sheffield actor was successful on the box with his TV credits including The Befrienders, Couples, Jack the Ripper and Hearts and Minds.

He had last been seen on our screens five years before his death in an episode of medical drama Doctors.

What trouble is ahead for Kevin?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV.

Bill was portrayed by late actor Peter Armitage
