Simon Gregson's Wife's Cafe Devastated by Strong Winds

Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson, known for his role as Steve McDonald, appeared downcast as the Christmas grotto at his wife's cafe was destroyed by Storm Pia. The couple run Morley Tea Rooms in Wilmslow, which his wife Emma took over last October.

Storm Pia Causes Chaos Across the UK

Storm Pia wreaked havoc across the UK, with major transport routes being affected by 80mph winds. The forceful drafts caused chaos during the Christmas getaway, disrupting festive travel plans.

Aftermath of the Storm

Simon Gregson shared a glimpse of the festive grotto on Instagram earlier in the month. However, the couple had to deal with the aftermath of Storm Pia's strong gusts, which ripped the tarpaulin off the marquee frame and toppled large candy canes.

Emma's Dream Business

Emma has described the Cheshire cafe as her "life-long dream business" and it recently won the Good Food Award Blue Ribbon. However, an application for four homes on the site was approved this month, potentially forcing the closure of their award-winning café.

A Happy Marriage and Growing Family

Simon and Emma tied the knot in November 2010 and have three children together – Alfie, Harry, and Henry Teddy.
