Game-Breaking Bug Shuts Down Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
The highly-anticipated game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launched into early access today, but fans were left disappointed as the game had to be taken offline less than an hour after release. The Batman universe online co-op game was plagued by a game-breaking bug that affected a number of players.
Early Access Limited to Deluxe Edition
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to be released on February 2, 2024, but players who purchased the more expensive Deluxe Edition were granted early access up to 72 hours earlier. The game launched into early access at midnight local time on January 30, 2024, giving New Zealand players a head start due to the time zone difference.
Bug Discovered and Game Taken Offline
Shortly after the game's release, players quickly discovered a game-breaking bug that automatically completed the game's story as they logged in for the first time. Less than an hour after launch, developers Rocksteady acknowledged the issue on Twitter and took the game offline for maintenance. The extent of the downtime is currently unknown.
Deluxe Edition Owners Left Disappointed
The bug is particularly frustrating for Deluxe Edition owners who paid extra to gain early access. These players are already missing out on the perk they paid for. The Deluxe Edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League costs an additional £30 / $30 on top of the base game's price tag of £70 / $70.

Players are advised to follow the game's official Twitter account for updates on when the game will become available again. Depending on how quickly the issue is resolved, players in the UK and US may not be affected by the problem when the game is supposed to launch in their respective time zones.

As the early access time arrives in more time zones, more players will be affected if the issue is not fixed soon. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is launching into early access at midnight local time on January 30 for consoles.
