What Happened?

Coronation Street's first UK live cast event, a live Q&A with cast members Mikey North and Ryan Prescott, fell flat. The event, organized by a private company, promised fans stories and secrets from the actors, along with a live auction of signed memorabilia for charity.

Low Ticket Sales

Despite offering standard tickets for £29.50 and VIP tickets for £59, the event struggled to attract attendees. With just hours to go, a significant number of tickets remained unsold, leaving large portions of the 425-seat theatre empty for the event.

Embarrassing Situation

Even VIP tickets, which offered a meet and greet with the stars and photo opportunities, failed to sell out. A source described the situation as embarrassing, noting that Coronation Street remains a popular show and the actors are fan favorites.

Disheartening for Stars

The source mentioned that Mikey North and Ryan Prescott have had successful events in the past, making the poor ticket sales unexpected. They emphasized that the situation should not reflect on the actors, who are known for their professionalism.

Seamless Entertainment, the event organizer, has been contacted for comment. Mikey North portrays Gary Windass in the ITV soap, while Ryan Prescott plays Ryan Connor, an acid attack survivor, on Coronation Street.
