CORONATION Street star Jack P Shepherd has been secretly making arty films in his downtime from the cobbles.
This year marks the 31-year-old actor’s 20th year playing David Plat on the ITV soap.

And it looks like he’s ready to spread his wings away from TV as he and has been flexing his skills.
Jack has appeared in a short film called Taubman about a Catholic man being refused a passport because of his Jewish heritage.
Sharing a link to this film on Twitter he wrote: “A film we made has been released on YouTube, hope you like it.”
And fans were impressed with one commenting, “great film” and another adding, “amazing acting”.

It’s not the first time Jack has taken time off from Corrie to hone his craft.
He has also taken time off to do theatre work including playing of Riff in a production of West Side Story as part of Stage 84 The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts and he appeared in Oliver!atBradford’sAlhambra theatre.
Meanwhile, Jack has teased that his Corrie character David Platt is “capable of anything” in the New Year as Shona’s coma sends him over the edge.
Earlier this week, viewers were left devastated as David was told that his wife may never wake after she got caught in the crossfire of Derek’s crazed Christmas rampage against Gary Windass.
HOAR Online previously revealed that Shona will be left in a coma while actress Julia Goulding takes her maternity leave, and 31-year-old Jack has now opened up about the implications this will have for his character.
He shared: “He’s been through so much, there’s a lot of anger and frustration, then there are moments when he does lose it and breakdown.”
When asked if he would like to see the downtrodden character go off the rails again, he continued: “More David on the edge and youre just not quite sure what hes going to do.
“Youll see in the New Year, David on the edge is capable of anything, Im really looking forward to it and I get to do my own stunts!”
Despite being warned that if Shona does wake she could have suffered serious damage, David will refuse to accept that – insisting that she will make a full recovery.
Jack revealed that he will then become so hellbent on being by Shona’s bedside when she does wake up that he even contemplates skipping Josh’s new rape trial – where he has been called to be a witness.
The actor explained: “Josh is standing trial accused of raping two other men and David is called as a witness.
“They want him to give evidence but he feels he cant, he needs to with Shona, he doesnt want to leave her side even for a minute.
“Its Gail and Nick in the end who manage to convince him that if Shona was awake she would want him to give evidence, but Davids view is that she’s not awake so he needs to be here.
“They end up putting to him: ‘What if you stay here, she wakes up, you didnt go and Josh ends up getting off because of the lack of evidence, how annoyed would she be that you could have done something and you chose not to?’
“So its more about Shona and what she would want him to do than David. Its the strength shes given him over the year to face this.”
However, it all gets too much for David, who storms out of the court room after Josh’s defence lawyer accuse him of having sexual feelings for Josh as they dismiss his rape.
Jack shared: “He tells his story and he feels like the jury believe him but then Joshs defence try to make out that David had sexual feelings for Josh and the fact he wanted to kill himself afterwards was due to the fact that hes gay and was in love with him.
“David ends up lashing out and shouting in the courtroom, then he decides hes wasting his time and he needs to get back to Shona.”
Fans can expect an explosive 2020 for the popular character, with David Platt already suffering his fair share of heartache over the years.
