In an upcoming episode, Shona Platt, played by Julia Goulding, grows frustrated with Lauren's constant phone use. When Shona catches her at the precinct instead of her call centre job, Lauren makes up an excuse about swapping shifts.

Later, Lauren presents her former boyfriend Max Turner, played by Paddy Bever, with a new watch as a thank-you. Max is taken aback but worries that the gift is too extravagant. Lauren claims she received a promotion at the call centre.
