Abi Webster's Struggle with Addiction
Fan favorite Abi Webster has battled with drug addiction but has been working hard to clean up her act. However, she is caught buying drugs in Coronation Street next week. But is it as it seems? There may be another motive behind her actions.
A Twist in the Tale
Abi Webster, played by Sally Carman, has been trying to stay on the straight and narrow since her first appearance on the cobbles. She even gave birth to a baby boy, Alfie, which gave her even more reason to stay away from drugs. But next week, Abi meets a drug dealer and buys some benzos. Is she really as clean as she seems?
A Mystery Unfolds
During the drug exchange, Abi is unaware that someone is photographing the scene. And it could be someone close to home. Is there someone out to get Abi and expose her actions? The plot thickens.
A Rivalry Resurfaces
Cassie Plummer, who also has a history with drugs, has her own plans to get Abi out of her way. Could she try to convince Abi's husband, Kevin Webster, that Abi is using drugs again? A rivalry between the two women emerges.
A Desperate Plea
But there's another layer to the story. Paul Foreman, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease, asks Todd Grimshaw for help in ending his life when the time comes. Todd refuses, but Paul's fear of becoming a hostage inside his own body leads him to seek out drugs. Abi, with her own history of substance abuse, decides to support Paul.
A Life or Death Decision
As Abi spends time with Paul, his intentions become clear when he asks her to score him some drugs. Is Abi trying to help Paul end his life? Will he really go through with it? And can Abi convince him that there are other ways to cope with his illness?
